About
Join us at Crofton Beam Engines for a unique, enriching experience, with live music coming to Crofton for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
We will have an eclectic mix of music featuring:
Mr Love and Justice:- Swindon-based folk/pop collective led by singer-songwriter Steve Cox, playing their own original English take on the late 60s west coast crossover sound.
George Wilding:- Hugely talented singer-songwriter originally from Avebury, now Bristol-based playing Kinks-esque psychedelic folk.
Half Of One:- Previous visitors to Crofton Beam Engines, Fiddle and Guitar acoustic folk duo Geoff Roberts and Neil Mercer former members of Swindon's SGO folk band.
Bellows Bunch: - We will also have one of our very own volunteer's bands, the Bellows Bunch playing traditional folk music.
Doors open at 1pm with Bellows Bunch starting proceedings at 1.15pm. Our Smithy Tea Room will be open and you are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy our beautiful grounds.
You will also have chance to look around our pumping station, including seeing the oldest Beam engines in the World still in its original location and still capable of doing its original job.
