Regency Dancing at Lydiard Park

Head to Lydiard Park for a dance class like no other this summer to celebrate Jane Austen's 250th anniversary.

On Sunday 29th June, you are invited to step back in time to experience the world of Jane Austen with the superb Georgettes of Oxford. The Georgettes will begin with a demonstration of a set of dances from the Regency period in Lydiard Park's historic Walled Garden at 11.30am. Afterwards, you can book onto one of the 45-minute workshops where you be able to have a go at some simple dances from the time. Each dance will be slowly walked through by the Georgette's dance mistress, and there will be a warm-up too.
