October is coming to an end, and November is nearly here. We're looking forward to all the fun activities and events coming up next month, with fireworks displays taking place all over Wiltshire, not to mention theatre in Salisbury, cookery courses in Devizes and concerts in Bradford on Avon. Let our list of what's on in Wiltshire this November inspire you...

Fireworks in Wiltshire

Seasonal Fun
The start of November will see firework displays lighting up the sky above Wiltshire, with events taking place in Salisbury, Chippenham, Malmesbury, Warminster, Melksham, Calne, Swindon, Trowbridge, Corsham and more. Take a look at the complete list of upcoming bonfire night events to find one near you. Then, from 9 November the Longleat Festival of Light begins! This annual festival is a key event in the Wiltshire events calendar, with fantastic glowing displays bringing festive cheer to the stunning Longleat estate. This year, the festival follows myths and legends from around the world, with mythical creatures and heroes lighting up the winter nights.

Comedy and Theatre
Inject some culture into your life this November with a trip to the theatre! Toast is being shown at Salisbury Playhouse from 4 to 9 November. Toast vividly recreates Nigel Slater's childhood through the tastes of the food created by the young Nigel and his mother. Book your tickets now to enjoy this evocative tale of love, loss and... toast! Later in the month, catch Alexander Armstrong's first ever stand-up comedy tour when 'All Mouth and Some Trousers' comes to City Hall in Salisbury on 19 November. If you're in the North of the county and fancy some stand-up comedy, head to Wyvern Theatre on 1 November for Andy Parsons: Healing The Nation

Food and Drink
Calling all foodies! November is looking set to be a fantastic month where food and drink is concerned. The month kicks off with Steak Night at Visit Hillbrush just outside Mere on 1 November, where you can enjoy two steak dinners and two drinks for £25. Or, if you like the idea of top-notch food served communally at a special supper club, tickets are now available for the November Supper clubs at Rick Stein Marlborough. There will be a delicious two course menu put together by Head Chef, Kevin Chandler. Expect good food and great conversation, all taking place in communal style in one of the beautiful upstairs dining rooms at Rick Stein, Marlborough. And if you would like to learn more about cooking your own food, why not sign up to the Taste of Italy class at Vaughan's Cookery School in Devizes to create a feast of Italian delights!

Live Music
As always, there are plenty of concerts taking place across Wiltshire this month. On 3 November, there will be a concert of 1940s music in Salisbury, We Will Remember Them, to mark and remember the D-Day landings, including a service of remembrance. Later in the month, head to Little Somerford outside Chippenham for Fieldview Festival Winter Warmer, an intimate candlelit concert in a beautiful 13th century village church. This year, the concert features acapella choir the Murmuration Choir and roots and blues band True Stays. And don't miss multi-award-winning British trombone player Dennis Rollins MBE performing at Wiltshire Music Centre alongside some of the world's top jazz musicians on 1 November at Funky-Funk!
