The Parade House
In the centre of Trowbridge is Parade House. Built around 1720 for the wealthy cloth merchant Robert Houlton, it is one of Wiltshire’s finest and most elegant buildings. Recently saved from dereliction and lovingly restored, the house is filled with antiques and costume exhibitions, along with beautiful meeting rooms, an original sweeping staircase with carved ceiling and a grand ballroom.
