Calne Rotary Club Charity 10km Fun Run at Bowood - CANCELLED
Organised for over thirty years by Calne Rotary Club, this friendly Fun Run and Walk caters for a wide range of participants, including serious club runners, joggers, keep-fit enthusiasts and walkers who would like to enjoy a few hours in the fresh air in picturesque Bowood Park.

Calne Spring Sing
Spring Sing is a brilliant community event held at multiple venues across Calne, which in 2019 was themed on the benefits that singing has on Mental Health and Wellbeing. The full Spring Sing programme is available to download a few weeks before the annual event at calne.gov.uk/Calne-Spring-Sing.
Calne Firework Display
The annual Calne Bonfire & Fireworks Night is held at Beversbrook Sports and Community Facility in early November. This family-friendly event is a night not to be missed with lots of entertainment and finishing with a spectacular fireworks display, which gets better every year. There will be live music, Jenning’s popular Funfair and a variety of food and drink stalls, not forgetting a free sparkler bar! Calne Rotary Classic Car Run - POSTPONED
On a Sunday in May, approximately one hundred Classic Cars gather in Calne Leisure Centre Car park before setting off for a fascinating 70 mile run through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. Stopping for refreshments at the Goss Croft Hall at Seagry and then onto Winsley, near Bradford upon Avon to finish with a wonderful lunch provided by the WI at Bloomfield Hall with time to enjoy the beautiful gardens of Dorothy House Hospice. The Calne Rotary Classic Car Run has now been postponed until 18 October 2020.
Heddington & Stockley Steam Rally
The Heddington and Stockley Steam Rally and Country Fair, located next to the Ivy Inn, in the picturesque village of Heddington off the A4, near Calne, has been an annual event for the past 41 years. It is one of the biggest steam rallies in the area attracting up to 7000 people over two days from all over the country to enjoy the friendly and relaxed rally. Exhibits include vintage traction engines in full steam, miniature steam, stationary engines, tractors, classic cars, motor cycles and bygones. Wordfest Literacy Festival
Calne Wordfest Literacy Festival was initiated by volunteers in Calne Our Place and is now a charity run by trustees. It is a week long festival of events, workshops, comedy and musical events, story trails and competitions to celebrate communication and to promote services in Calne that can help any age or ability with literacy. The festival is supported by ten local schools, both primary and secondary, with children taking part in diverse literacy activities, including World Book Day, debating and “feel better with a book” sessions, comedy and musical workshops and a comic Shakespeare performance at the town hall.
