On display will be photographs and artifacts showing the changes in Great Bedwyn in the last 100 years.
The Church has Saxon foundations and dates from the 10th Century, with continual additions of Norman, Early English and Victorian reworking. It is a very large venue, it once could hold 600 (standing?!) To see are Sir John Seymour's tomb, father of Queen Jane Seymour, Henry VIII's wife, a window made from Wolfhall glass, two 'crusader' tombs from 1300's, a green man, numerous carvings and five beautiful stained glass windows with examples from Hardman glass, and the William Morris school. There are Commonwealth graves and the Ailesbury Crypt (not open), and the recently restored Walker Organ. We have six historic heavy bells.
Refreshments will be available. Limited parking but disabled access. Toilet up one step. ramp available Train station nearby (Bedwyn). The Kennet and Avon canal runs behind the church and Savernake forest as well.
Tour might take 45 minutes The Church is open every day 9am-4pm, but the exhibition is for the weekend 16/17th only

Five minute walk from Kennet and Avon Wharf, or railway station. Parking available in the village.
The toilet is up one step, ramp available. However it is small and difficult to fit two people in, certainly not a wheelchair. Parking is limited, the drop kerb should be free for access, and parking is available in the vicarage drive.
