Stuck for ideas on what to get that special person in your life for Christmas? We’ve put together a list of some gift ideas that you might not find on the high street and will give them a little taster of Wiltshire…
Tour Wiltshire’s roads in a classic car
Take to the road in style in a Vintage Classic car from an Austin Healey or Jaguar. Vintage Classics have also teamed up with several near-by hotels to offer classic car breaks. Another option would be with Grays Retro Car Hire where you can select cars from the 60s through to 90s incluing a Porche 911 or a Ford Capri.
Sample the local beers
On a tour of Wadworth Brewery in Devizes. From Wadworth’s online shop you can order tour vouchers, selected Wadworth merchandise or even some of their famous 6X beer. You don’t just have to shop online either, pop into the Wadworth Brewery Visitor Centre’s shop.
Pick up handmade craft items
From sculptures through to small craft items, Fisherton Mill, which has galleries in both Salisbury and Wilton has lots of unique pieces to suit a range of budgets. In both locations you can also see artists at work in their studios.
With paintings, photographs, crafts and an on-site coffee shop, St Peter’s Church on Marlborough’s High Street is worth a visit. The church is deconsecrated and now is home to the craft and coffee shops.
Feeling extreme?
How about taking to the skies with either a hot air balloon ride with take offs from the stunning Larmer Tree Gardens or a sky dive from Go Skydive near Salisbury? These will certainly be gifts that won’t be forgotten in a hurry!
