Modern and Retro Race Weekend
Enjoy a weekend of car race meeting at Castle Combe Circuit this August! Explore a mix of classics and modern races organised by Classic and Sports Car Club. Highlights include; BMW Championship and Open Series, Classic K Series, Swinging 60s Series and Turbo Tintops!
Wiltshire Game & Country Fair
Set within the beautiful surroundings of Bowood House is this year’s Wiltshire Game & Country Fair. With main arena attractions running throughout the day, supported by a host of smaller country sports arena and workshops, as well as the very best activities and entertainment, it’s the perfect family day out!
Sunset at the Trust
The Hawk Conservancy Trust invites you to a special summer's evening with their feathered friends. Against a setting sun, you'll have the opportunity to meet a wide range of their incredible birds of prey and the dedicated team working alongside them over two flying displays. Step inside the world of these awesome birds to watch them soar, swoop and dive over the grounds at dusk – showing off their skills before your very eyes!
If Opera
Join If Opera with an incredible 2025 programme at their new peaceful venue, Church Farm in Trowbridge. For this year’s event, If Opera features Verdi’s Rigoletto as the centrepiece of the season alongside Simon Butteriss’ interpretation of Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld. Alongside this, there will be a Baroque double bill of Monteverdi’s Il combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda and Carissimi’s Historia Jonae, the tale of Jonah and The Whale, will also feature in the season as well as the annual Picnic Prom.
Edington Music Festival
This years' theme at Edington Museum Festival, 'The Ways of the Lord', follows journeys made along ways and roads in the Holy Land. Celebrate the anniversaries of the late 16th Century leading composer, Palestrina, and recent composers, Sir John Rutter and Bob Chilcott, whose compositions for the season of Christmas rarely feature in the August worship!
Woodland Wellbeing – Family Activity at Westonbirt
Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is welcoming back storyteller Michael Loader, inviting you and the children to enjoy wonderful storytelling sessions and story walks through the arboretum. There will also be other wellbeing activities for you to try, such as simple forest yoga, forest bathing, moving like an animal and creating a wellbeing tree of life.
Imber Bus Day
Have you visited the abandoned village of Imber? Evacuated in 1943, Imber has remained deserted to this day. This month, a vintage bus service transports passengers back in time from Warminster to the historic village of Imber. Here, you will be able to explore its iconic streets!
Malmesbury Carnival & Festival
Malmesbury Carnival and Festival provides a full-blown programme of events, finishing with the showpiece event, Carnival Procession at the beginning of September. Featuring open gardens, the scarecrow trail, competitions, music and much more.
