Christmas is fast approaching and Wiltshire has plenty on offer to help you get into the festive spirit. 

On a cold winters night I ventured out of Salisbury and made my way to the pantomime at Wyvern Theatre, Swindon. This year’s show is Peter Pan starring everyone’s favourite EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale). 

On a lovely crisp winter evening I hopped just across the Wiltshire border to Westonbirt Arboretum as I had been lucky enough to be invited to preview their Enchanted Christmas Illuminated Trail. 

This was the first time I'd been to Longleat, and with the Festival of Light in full swing there was not a better time to visit.

Come together in Wiltshire this Christmas

Whether you’re ready or not, Christmas seems to be well and truly here. The John Lewis advert is out, shops are playing Christmas music as well as displaying Christmas goodies, and everyone’s rushing to find gifts to buy. 

Bonfire night, seasonal events and the run up to Christmas, Wiltshire provides you with endless entertainment this November.

The Wyvern Theatre pantomime has become a bit of a tradition for me now, and is a great way of adopting the Christmas spirit.

On an unseasonably warm and clear December evening I was delighted to have an opportunity to visit the Longleat Festival of Lights. Having visited and loved it last year there was a concern that they couldn’t possibly improve on that… but I should have known, being their 50th anniversary year that Longleat would do something even more impressive!
